What We Do
Grand Rapids Fence connects homeowners with local fencing information and qualified local installers. When you submit a project request through our Find a Contractor form, we may forward your project details to one or more local fencing contractors who serve your area.
Referral Arrangements
We may receive compensation from fence contractors when we facilitate a connection that results in a project. This compensation may take the form of a flat referral fee, a percentage of the project value, or a periodic advertising arrangement.
This financial arrangement does not affect our editorial content. We do not adjust our cost estimates, material recommendations, or published guides based on which contractors have referral arrangements with us. Our content is written and reviewed independently of our commercial relationships.
What We Don't Do
- We do not guarantee or endorse specific contractors.
- We do not verify contractor licensing, insurance, or bonding status. Request proof of insurance and licensing from any contractor before signing a contract.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties outside of the specific contractor connection you've requested.
- We do not publish paid reviews or manufactured testimonials.
Your Responsibility
Before hiring any fence contractor, we strongly recommend:
- Verifying their Michigan contractor registration and liability insurance
- Getting at least two additional bids beyond any contractor we connect you with
- Checking references and online reviews independently
- Reading the full contract before signing, including warranty terms and payment schedule
